Facing Schwarzenegger
« on: September 27, 2016, 09:01:00 PM »
Dammit getbiggers. Why didn't anyone give us a heads up this documentary was on?  My brother not a lifter just text me it comes on right now on the west coast. I turned it on on the east coast to catch the last dam 5 minutes of it.

Those on the west coast can still see it on Nat Geo

What's this documentary about?

Does an old schmoe talk about how he spent some time with Arnold missionary style?

It wasnt like the other Facing series shows they have televised where the people on the  show just tear down the person being presented. This was more of a love fest for Arnold,  including a stuntman, Lou, some friends, a director and what seemed to be a bitter ex girlfriend. They showed a lot of clips from pumping iron.

What was surprising is Lou said after losing to Arnold his dad told him in South Africa that he wanted Lou out of his house cause he is a loser. The ex girlfriend also mentioned all bodybuilders have a bad relationship with their dad, and they take up bodybuilding to get their dads approval  >:(

In Lou's comeback documentary he says that he slept on the beach for quite some time. I don't know if it's true or not. Most people say that Lou's father was a douche.

Arnold lifting weights was going against what his dad wanted so definitely didn't do it for approval.
Was Ric Drasin in it? He was featured on the advert

Yes Ric was in it as one of his friends and training partner. Spoke very well of Arnold.

His ex girlfriend seemed to be pretty bitter. Rae Dawn Chong was also in it, she seemed to admire Arnold. Did not know she was Tommy Chong's daughter. He was also a bodybuilder that often lifted with Arnold at muscle beach.

Yeah, Joe Weider actually talked about it too in Lou's movie on making his comeback.

Apparently, Lou was bitter with the relationship he had with his Dad and had a temper and Joe would lecture him on his temper, etc. and low and behold later he became the Incredible Hulk so it worked out.
