ILLUMIJATI, I was going to agree with your answers, but then  Be There spoke up and I started thinking that, maybe I really have forgotten and Be There may be correct!'

So in an effort to avoid any Hollywood history conflicts, I'll have to do some research.

Sorry bout that.

Stunt - here's an easy one for you - who's this fella giving Clint a Parillo stretch?

You are all correct!

I hate to remain confused for too long a time so I did some research and discovered that there were actually two versions of the movie.

One version for the Italian audiences in which Illumanati would be correct....
Clint = the Good - man with no name / Blondie
Eli Wallach = The ugly / Tuco Ramirez
Lee van cleef = The Bad = Angel eyes

I have heard that this was due to the fact that the original Italian version was actually entitled ..... The Good, the Ugly, and the Bad which coincided withhe principal actor's screen credits. (Or something like that.)

But in the version released in the USA ...
CLint was The Good
Tuco was the Bad
Ange Eyes was the Ugly

The Italian version seems more appropriate though

SNOMAN, Ryan O'Neil???

Back to The Good, etc......

I always thought I had seen The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly many years ago, but I downloaded it from Amazon last nite and after roughly ten minutes I reaized I had NeVER seen it before.

I gotta admit that it was one hell of a great movie but I have to agree with Singh (see above) in that ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST was also great and just as enjoyable.

Many in the film business feel that the three best westerns ever made are:

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.
Once upon a Time in the West.
The Searchers.

Tarantino says that The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly is the greatest film ever made.

I don't know where HOW THE WEST WAS WON falls on any Greatest Westerns list, but many of my stunt pals worked on that one and told me lots of stories that I believe have never been published to the outside world.

That's makes me an 'insider' I guess!
