Think of what freedom really costs
« on: November 12, 2016, 12:23:20 PM »
Yesterday was Remembrance day here in Canada, Armistace day in many other countries.

Next time you are having a bad day, or think that life is not fair, or are taking a hissy fit because you didn't get your own way, just remember that your right to express those thoughts and feelings, no matter how ridiculous they may be are because of the 10's of thousands of men and women who put their lives on the line to serve and protect us and guarantee the right to express and opinion or act like a crybaby, even here on getbig as well because in some countries you can't even express yourself on the internet.

These freedoms are taken for granted, and I wanted to post this now elderly gentleman's story about what he went through at about the same age as these college age millenials acting like retards right now because they did not get their own way.

Incidentally I worked briefly in this wing Of Sunnybrooke in 2008 and it was an honor to serve those people who gave so much of themselves.

Bodybuilding related? Fuck that, this is about what it really costs to have the freedom to talk about bodybuilding or at each other here

Some it will be lost on, and some will get it

Wise words.

I didn't know Canada has been under threat of oppression at some point.

Must educate myself about Canada. Nice place it seems. But I have always thought that it has just always been there and few people went there to seek gold and those who didn't find decided to stay.

We have a huge SJW problem here presently, they want to pass a law that would essentially stifle free speech. One University of Toronto professor has spoken out at the risk of his livelihood and career, well the video says as much

Yes, have heard a lot about the rampant liberalism there. It was my understanding that that is what the US was becoming. How would you compare the two?
