However, after the votes were counted , Trump had a clear win in the electoral college, where it counts.
What the pollsters and mainstream pundits missed , was the resentment of middle America.
I know because I live in north Ga and immersed in the pro-Trump movement.
It all comes down to : basic tolerance vs embrace and celebrate, on key social issues from gay marriage to religion.
For example, it's like going to a buffet and being forced to try every dish and say they're all equally good.
Most folks don't mind a wide variety of foods on the menu or buffet table.
BUT, we want to be free to eat the things we like and avoid those we don't.
In the liberal PC world, we aren't allowed to say something sucks or this is my favorite.
It's an artificial form of being forced to pretend everyone is equally great, regardless of their conduct.
