You are going to send a whole team of star Rugby players in against a football team of NFL?

Just remember to bring one thing.

A good supply of bodybags.

So the US dominates every single sport, no other country can compete, NFL players are a different species to people from other countries  ::)... Fuck off, if the same rugby players grew up playing NFL they would do fine.

I love NFL, but it will never be played seriously outside of US, it costs too much money to play and set up, football and rugby require a field, goals and a ball.... Not 50 sets of pads, helmets etc etc

Now they are no longer tackling head first the tackles could learn alot in regards to using the shoulder and wrapping the legs up as they do in rugby

Pete Carroll of the Seattle Seahawks agrees with you and teaches rugby tackling

Wow. 11 minutes!. It's hilarious. No on ein the States knows anything about rugby. They think an NFLer can go into a Rugby league and kick ass. We'll see about that when he gets his helmet-less head stepped on a couple of times.

Or, run away in sheer terror at the intensity of the NFL.

surely your trolling with this ?  10 second play, stop, next play 1 min later...repeat = intensity level 2

Yes, but the intensity of the game within those 10 seconds most likely equals 20 minutes of rugby play.

Hire a real leader that can make your country great and then after that spend the few extra dollars to make the equipment aspect of it become a reality.

This.

Rugby players would just laugh and walk away after seeing the amount of safety pads these "beasts" wear.

It's a double edged sword. You can hit harder too. The game has been under fire because of all the concussions and long term brain injuries.

"According to a Wall Street Journal study of four recent broadcasts, and similar estimates by researchers, the average amount of time the ball is in play on the field during an NFL game is about 11 minutes"

11 MINUTES OF PURE INTENSITY!

And if you dilute it down you get a more aerobic game with less intensity.

UFC heavy has a limit of 265

I miss the good old days of the original UFC (UFC 3 in 1994) with Keith “The Giant Killer” Hackney beating the shit out of the late great 6'8" and 600 pounds Emmanuel Yarborough.

You can't compare rugby and NFL.

Two complete different sports which require different skills and athletic ability.

We aren't comparing them.... The Americans see nfl players as untouchable species that dont exist anywhere but the states

Could you imagine the kind of team NZ could put out if they didn't play union or league, if they trained NFL from young kids, that's the only point im making

It's a stupid conversation.

The NFL guys are clearly on a different level athletically speaking.
