Who says you can't talk about racism? I think you're missing the point. There's a difference between racial/racism discussions and simply walking up to someone and spewing a racial slur. You can't do the latter at any job or school and its been this way for quite a while. That is not nothing new. Restricting ethnic and racial slurs in the school and/or workforce has been around for a long time. First amendment doesn't mean you can walk up to someone at work and school and say anything you want to them. And that is what the data showed, "What they do support is restricting racial  or ethnic slurs." But we already know a restriction on racial or ethnic slurs in places of business or school has been around for a while.

The data shows that 72% mostly do not agree with colleges restricting free speech. However, what they do support is restricting racial  or ethnic slurs. This is no different than in any place of business, etc.

In other words, 72% do not agree with speech restrictions by Colleges, but they also want those Colleges to impose restrictions on speech they find offensive?
