for the training addicts
« on: April 08, 2017, 07:32:52 AM »
how often do you have easy/light days, or do you have them at all?

I train every single day as I'm addicted as fuck and I train very heavy every single fucking day, but I know it's too much so I'm gonna try and add in easy/light days just like i plan to do right now

hopefully I can stay the course today and not end up training heavy again like a dipshit

I know it's better to just take the day off completely but I fucking can't

maybe you dont need to lift so much just be in that environment
so in other words, get to the gym and occupy yourself with stuff that isnt so hard on your body/recovery
like cardio. talking on your phone. take selfies with people. ask how much people can bench etc

i come from a macho backround, and my uncles, step-father etc would say train your ass off each time you train and if you don't then you're a pussy

in fact when i was 19 my uncle found my training log and wrote this in it, "hi, i've been doing this shit for years and i'm still a weak f@g"

damn hard to excape my macho upbringing  >:(

It doesn't get much more macho than mean notes in diaries.

Light days are great, get a good pump joints rest and hits the muscle differently.i have a lot of aches and pains so light days are necessary. If you feel good I would still have light days so down the road you still feel good. All my aches and pa Me are from many years no light days and no warm ups.

yeah active rrest is good for me, but it would probably be better to at least take one day off per week

at least II'm not training 2 or even 3 times per day any more

Keep the weights the same but cut the reps in half i personally feel is a better deloading strategy than the lighter days, but like all training matters its individual, wave cycling is another option for someone with your training preference, add 2.5 kg for 4 or 5 weeks then back off the weights to week 2 and repeat, takes care of the deload and keeps you training at somewhat near your peak.

^^^ cutting reps in half doesn't really work for me bro coz I only do 3 reps tops

yesterday I benched the bar for maybe 5 or 6 reps for a few sets then did weight assisted pulls up with like 100 pounds off my bodyweight

ridiculously light training

probably would have been better to take a day off but can't do that

I usually ttake about 1 day a month off lol

how's the military presses going?

I mean Heavy Duty works or has worked for some, not sayin it is bad. prefer a bit of volume myself. pump up and look like a cobra. My lats really get pumped on close grip seated cable rows.
