Here in the States, I don't think we have anything like steak version, at least not easily available. We do have ground beef in a can, which isn't that bad, all things considered, but still a good bit more expensive than fresh. We do have chicken in a can or pouch served like tuna, but that too, comes out costing more than fresh.

If the tin is dented the metal dissolves into the liquid

Cream of tomato soup is great also par boiled potatoes.
