Tinned food
« on: June 06, 2017, 01:10:08 PM »
Any one else try? It preserves 100% of nutrients for years due to no oxidation.  The beef has 34g of protein for 100g sauce and costs £2.20 a can.

Here in the States, I don't think we have anything like steak version, at least not easily available. We do have ground beef in a can, which isn't that bad, all things considered, but still a good bit more expensive than fresh. We do have chicken in a can or pouch served like tuna, but that too, comes out costing more than fresh.

We also have multiple brands of this tasty treat -

It's probably the plastic coating on the inside of such tins that "leaks" into the food.....

If the tin is dented the metal dissolves into the liquid

Cream of tomato soup is great also par boiled potatoes.

I had some of the chicken. Tasted like a take away curry.
