Best was recently 122.5 kg (269lbs) for 4 with very brief pause, then tried the next week for 5 but struggled to get 1 so have had to back off a bit, have relatively poor pressing strength having short legs and long torso and arms.

Was the 345 at 170?

I can actually answer that since I was there that day. Matt will correct me if I'm wrong, but both I think think were in the 170s. The one I saw he was 178. The other one I did not witness but the dude at the gym claimed he didn't spot Matt but I find that hard to believe as he was an honest 170 that day. Possibly even a few Lbs lower. Double body weight bench, even with gym form, is not a claim I take lightly. The spotter may have taken off 5 pounds that day. So call it 340@169. A group of us in town would rather Matt compete at 200. Why give up 30+ pounds in contest?

I did 450 at 217 pounds bodyweight back in May at a powerlifting meet.  Looking to push that up to 500 at under 200 pounds in the next year or so, which would be a monster bench.

31 posts deep and you came to brag about your bench.

Good weights though but dropping under 200 to hit 500 will be tough. You doing this raw?

97 posts deep and you defend a 31 post member?

Good move but having under 200 to defend under 50 is tough. You doing this raw?

Yes this is raw.  Dropping weight hasn't been too difficult.  I weighed 206 this morning.  Gaining another 50 pounds on the press is the real challenge, but it will happen.  I'm going to try some new compounds going into my next meet, I've only ever used testosterone.

That's true but I also weighed 300+ pounds when I did that.  I'm a much better lifter now compared to then.

You hit 450 at 300?  And you're going to hit 500 at 200?

Nice work
