George Romero RIP -

The father of the modern Zombie film passed away at age 77. While known for the Zombie films, he was a pretty good overall director.

Always found this later version to have some hilarious modern day satires, metaphors and prophecies

X2.... I've probably watched about 100 times. So much stuff going on there. So much commentary. Much more than just a zombie movie but definitely the greatest zombie movie ever. RIP.

I was always a Day of The Dead man myself. A few others liked from him were -

The Dark Half. One of the better Stephen King adaptions. It's faithful to the book and a nice, straight ahead noirish horror -

.

Also Martin was a decent film, a neat little vampire / mental illness story. For anyone curious, the full film is here -

.

Also this one always slips my mind, he was behind the original Creepshow adaptions.

day of the dead was filmed in mushroom mines a few miles from my house. I had friends in it who played zombies.
