At the 1997 Mr. Olympia ronnie was 255lbs

At the 1998 Mr. Olympia Ronnie was 248lbs...

did he really make huge improvements in the offseason that would warrant 9th --> 1st, or did he simply take his conditioning up a notch?

At the time people argued whether Flex used synthol and calf implants but Ron's gyno was not in dispute .

Don't get me wrong . I greatly admire Big Ron and he clearly out muscled Flex but if a BB has gyno he should be heavily penalised .

However soft glutes and hams can be improved by better conditioning while gyno like Big Ron's requires surgery .
I think that makes big Rons 1998 gyno a greater evil than Flex's softer glutes and hams .

 Ronnie dwarfs you Seriously though, gyno is a flaw, but it is not a flaw in conditioning or development. Vile, massive gyno should be heavily penalized, but Ronnie's is not that bad.
