Sprained my ankle - how long to heal?

I ran a 50k in May and sprained my ankle real bad about 12 Miles in. It took 6 weeks for the swelling to go down.  I just started running on it in the last month. Very frustrating process. Cheers to a speedy recovery for you.

thanks! i didnt hurt it that bad, but the same day it got really numb and it was pretty scary not being able to walk properly, couldnt even get to the bathroom unless i was jumping on one leg  :D
