Aerion's Supersonic Private Jet to reach Mach 1.4

The AS2 is a supersonic private jet with speeds of mach 1.4; able to fly from Tokyo to San Franciso in 6 hours.  It produces no boom up to mach 1.2.  Flex Jet has already placed an order for 20 AS2 saying their best customers love the idea.  

Airbus is partnering with Aerion to produce the carbon fiber fuselage and wings.  Expected list price of $110 million.  

The Concord may have been a flop, but the AS2 won't be.  It's supersonic done right using modern fuel efficient engines,  laminar flow aerodynamics, carbon fiber, and a beautiful cabin.

what makes you think Concorde was a flop?

14 production aircraft sold to just 2 airlines is an abysmal failure.  One of those 14 airplanes erupted in flames in mid air killing all aboard.
