If the kid is just starting out, like he obviously is, isolation movements aren't a bad idea since he probably has no idea how to isolate and feel a bicep contract when doing a free weight exercise.


Anyways, good for him. Everything he does will be progress. And that 8.25 in bicep will be 9.25 in in a couple months, and LC how he can be in control of his body and have something to focus on. Earning small victories everytime he looks in the mirror for the progress... Before he knows it his entire body will have changed for the next 3-4 years.
