This sucks big time
« on: April 13, 2018, 07:33:07 AM »
Audio from Kyle Plush's two calls to Cincinnati police have been released
The 16-year-old was found dead Tuesday evening, after becoming pinned under the third row bench seat of his Honda Odyssey
Plush was leaning back to grab tennis gear when the seat collapsed on his chest
Because he wasn't near his phone, he used the Siri function on his phone to call 911 and yelled at the operator 'Help, help, help. I'm stuck in my van!'
A deputy was sent to the scene and checked two of the parking lots at the Seven Hills school but found no one in distress
About 15 minutes later, Plush called 911 back, this time more desperate
'I probably don't have much time left. Tell me mom I love her if I die,' he said
Plush was found dead about six hours after his first call, when his family used the Find My iPhone function to locate him

I looked for about 10 minutes for a proper explanation and this is the only thing  ???

I'm guessing the seat gave under his weight and his neck was caught under it and it locked in place?

Freakiest of freak accidents for sure.  :-\

A dispatcher has been placed on leave

Two officers arrived on scene at 3:26 p.m. They were there for 11 minutes, patrolling the area to look for anyone in distress.

While they were in the parking lot, Kyle was making his second 911 call.

A 911 dispatcher, Amber Smith, has been placed on administrative leave. Smith did not convey the additional information to officers at the scene, Cincinnati Police Chief Eliot Isaac said.

In that second call, Kyle gave more details of the van he was trapped in, including its color, make and model. That information was never relayed to officers on the scene.

At 3:37 p.m., the officers closed the incident and went back into service.

a couple years ago in Austin in one of the large tech type company parking lots, a lady walks by a van at 9am and sees a child in the back seat in a car seat. As she goes into the building she casually mentions to the security guard that there is a child unattended in a car seat in a blue van. She doesn't bother to take him out there, she's late for work. He takes a stroll through the parking lot but never sees the kid and assumes the parent came back and left. About 4pm Dad comes out from work and discovers his toddler son dead from heat stroke. He normally never took the kid to daycare, wife always did. This day he was supposed to and forgot all about it. He was as you can imagine inconsolable. When his wife arrived and confirmed it was true she went bat shit crazy and had to be pulled off him. I don't know how you recover from that.

On the other hand, I heard a new single by Pyle Kush recently.

Ugh, in CA as well.  :'(

"Mark J. Warschauer, an associate professor and vice chairman of the university's Department of Education, left son Michael in a locked car for more than three hours on Aug. 8, apparently forgetting that he had not dropped him off as usual at the university's day-car center.

Warschauer, 49, said he did not realize his mistake until after lunch, when he saw a commotion around his car. Campus police officers broke a rear window and removed the infant after a passerby discovered him. The boy died of hyperthermia."

Get a new wife.  It's unlikely the existing one will support your defective forgetful-gene seed through another nine months of gestation.
