the funniest part of this shameful episode in US history is that Trump thought he nailed it.

Today, Trump reads a scripted walk back from yesterday's blundering fiasco.  Trump attempted on Tuesday to clarify his widely criticized comments in Helsinki. Trump said today, "I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be Russia." At the Monday press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump said about election meddling in 2016: "(Putin) just said it's not Russia. I will say this: I don't see any reason why it would be." Trump said about election meddling in 2016:

Trump also said on Tuesday that he had "full faith and support" for the American intelligence community and supported their assessment that Russia meddled in the election, although the president claimed that others could also be responsible (off script).

Maybe I'm expecting too much. Although there are a some people here that despite our differences of opinion are smart and honest. What is possibly going on is this event is nearly impossible to deny no matter what one's perspective is.

Um, I doubt Trump made his weak attempt to retract the statements he made at the press conference following he and Putin's meeting the very next day because democrats and the media forced him to. His own team set the retraction/morning press conference up. President George W. Bush wasn't the best speaker. Trump can't get passed his own ego long enough to give a speech/press conference free of his stupidity. Guess you're excusing "was" for "wasn't" as poor "word-smithing." I never would have suspected you were that gullible or blinded by your obsession with President Obama.

Okay, that's your choice. Just be aware that one funny circumstance becomes stale and is eventually ignored by the audience. This is even more so if it's constantly being repeated. Give yourself a break, there's lots of things going on everyday that contribute to humor. Joan Rivers told (offensive) jokes about Obama and family too, but it was just a small part of her routine.

Nah, you won't see any of them calling out one of the other Trumpsters for any misinformation. And to save you some time, expecting one of the 5 Trumpster fans to ever say anything that Trump says is wrong is a waste of time. But they WILL expect you to give him accolades on the rare moments he does something that isn't divisive or controversial. It's a very hypocritical environment they operate from.
