West Hollywood City Council will vote tonight on a resolution urging the Los Angeles City Council and Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to remove Donald Trump’s walk of fame star. The marker has been vandalized and destroyed numerous times. The star was unveiled in 2007.
IMO...
I don't like the man, but this is absurd. The reasons the West Hollywood City Council gave for wanting it removed has nothing to do with why he got the star. Trump was awarded the star in 2007 because he was a famous celebrity. Either he or whoever sponsored the star paid $30,000 along with submitting an application for it. They or Trump should get a refund.

It is unfortunate that the star has been vandalized, not just once, but twice over the past two years. James Otis turned himself on to the Beverly Hills police. He susequently pleaded no contest to felony vandalism in February 2017 and was sentenced to three years probation, 20 days of community service and agreed to pay $4,400 for the damage.
