There are plastic surgeons who specialize in taking bone tissue off your pelvis or other places to use in enhancing jaws, chins, and the like in the face...The advantage is that it is your own tissue.
yes bone grafting, but very few surgeons do this because it is almost always resorbed by the body and has very very high risk of complication. They later started trying "sandwich" techniques where the bone graft is inserted between two cut surfaces (hence the name sandwich) and in theory might solve the resorption problem but there is little evidence for that currently.
you can also graft fat, which is quite effective at changing the contours of the face and less invasive/less downtime.
Not saying tom cruise hasn't done any of this (although i vehemently disagree with the idea that hes had jaw implants, a very common speculation on the internet, but as i explained earlier the first mandible design debuted in 1995.. tom has had that jawline for at least 10 years prior) but he's either got a very talented surgeon who does great minimalist work, or he's on some cutting edge shit. Stem cell treatment is apparently all the range in dodgey health tourism clinics (panama is a popular destination). I havent read much about it, but mel gibson was on joe rogan's podcast with a doctor specializing in that stuff, and was swearing up and down it had dramatic effect on his father's extensive health problems. Mel needs some of that shit himself, hes looking haggard, working with the enemy takes it toll
