At times such as this, it's best to ask yourself, "What would Jake and Elwood wear?".

Looks like Elwood wore white and Jake wore black. So either one would pay homage.

Gym or super casual, white socks are fine. Other times I go with black, tan or rarely, argyle.

All I know is never wear sandals or flip flops and wear pants long enough to cover socks.Only socks men should wear are the anklet socks then it does not matter color.
