Beautiful state but my god, the worst people and politics in the union bar none. I'd rather live in a backwoods rural town of 500 off a dirt road in Kentucky or a meth town in West Virginia than in California under the string of failed big-government Democrat leadership it's had in the past 10 years. Even Arnold was an embarrassment. You can't very well just say live somewhere but ignore its political and social climate. There's no doubt that if the LA riots happened again, most Whites would stay home or worse go out in the streets to loot and burn with them out of some misplaced sense that the blacks are right and deserve to get free stuff. The state is absolutely insane. They passed a law where if a woman doesn't verbally spell out that she wants you to have sex with her ("affirmative" consent or w/e), you can get accused of rape. Magazines are limited to what, 10 rounds there? I couldn't live there if you paid me, fuck the palm trees and NorCal isn't even like that anyway, it's just the southern part.

Pretty much. If this was an aberration caused by one bad administration, you could argue that once the incumbent was voted out, the new leadership team would reverse course and focus on what's best for the state and its residents. Alas, I see a trend going back several decades and it's only getting worse. Giving coverage to illegals is probably going to the last straw for more than just a few people.

I'm glad you're in a nice part of town. LA is indeed a nice place in spots like Brentwood, Bel-Air, Beverly Hills, even Century City. But imagine being someone living in a poor neighborhood, broke, scraping by between jobs and told you now have to foot the bill not only for the current undocumented and their families, but future ones as well. Add to that the issues you listed that you were fortunate to avoid, and nobody I know would want to live there anymore. The bars on the windows aren't exactly eye candy, either.

I'm outside of LA, I absolutely HATE going through there. Traffic is completely fucked, any day, any time. I don't know where you are for traffic to be of no issue, it's horrible every time I go up there.
