More like listening to the testimony of those two rednecks who tied Mathew Shephard to a fence and beat him to near-death then drove off to let the crows and owls finish him off with their beaks.

Jobs aren't the answer. They obviously don't have one because they don't need to work, since they all live at home or on welfare. 6 weeks of boot camp will wipe that those sassy facial expressions right off their smug mugs. They need to be reminded of what others had to go through to give them the right to violate public buildings and harass members of Congress who could be their grandfathers.
What they could also use is a stay in an actual socialist “utopia” like Venezuela to really make them think..since most were raised in a bubble by helicopter parents this would be interesting

Reminds me of those celebrities who were loudly saying they'd move to Canada or another country if Trump won the election. Last I checked, they're all still here.  ::)

6 weeks of being woken up with gutteral screams at 4:24 A.M. for 3 months straight will concentrate anyone's mind. Trust me. You're never the same after you leave the military.

My son retired from the military after 22 years, with no combat duty. He's continued to work in logistics as a civilian. He seems to be the same person.

My son-in-law was medically boarded out after 15 years several of which were in combat duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. He has over 100% disability. He is greatly changed.

As always, you're conflating personal experience with consensus. It's called the fallacy of personal experience and I've mentioned it to you multiple times.

Over 100%, huh? So he's 200% disabled? Or is it 1000%? Bet that pays well.

Where did I suggest their personal experiences were a representation of anything? Are we having a debate? If not there is no fallacy.

It isn't 1000%, but it is more than 100%. Doesn't seem possible? It is, but the percentages are fluid. As to how well disability pays, they seem to be doing fine.

You stated it as a counterpoint to what I said, as if to neutralize it by saying your kid had the opposite experience. We'd have to get him on here to confirm that because I don't think you speak for anyone else, even if it's family.

The majority of people who have done military service came out changed people as opposed to how they were before enlisting. That may not be true of 100%, but let's put it at 90%.
