Could this finally signify the end of over a decade of "bubble-gut" champions. I have never understood how the quest for larger size could justify the totally unaesthetic look of the stomach area of recent top contenders. Lets go back to V-tapers with wide shoulders, narrow waists and an overall emphasis on symmetry. A return to the "Golden Age of Bodybuilding" ?

Lucky

We can only hope! The bubble gut looks even worse when they have street clothes on. They look like your average overweight guy then.

Appreciating the oily, fake, lumpy arms or something else? A little help here.

Why the circle on Phil’s arm?

Why the circle on Phil’s arm?
Presumably his bicep looks smaller, but it also looks much harder and has twin separations. Shawn's looks airbrushed, almost photoshopped or SEO'ed. Both his arms are much smoother and less detailed. He does crush Phil on waist size though his legs look slightly smaller.

Well, his lower tricep (where it is shadowed) is partially hidden by the dark background; which makes the arm “look” smaller. One arm is smaller than the other, but not by that much.

Which is why I limited it to biceps rather than arms, since their triceps are the same size. Phil's are clearly harder and more separated as well. Shawn's arms look as smooth as Ramy's but the rest of him is on point, which makes me think he has oil in his arms because if he was smooth all over due to conditioning, it wouldn't just be on his arms.

Toney was awesome. But why certain guys win and others don't is the great mystery in pro bodybuilding , haha

yeah right
what is this, 1991? lol
nothing's a mystery in BB anymore, which is why it's dead

the first minute of this rap video is roughly analogous to the conversation Phil and the IFBB's ownership must've had in 2011
