Dave, I never posted nor am I not concerned about Immigrants entering the U.S. either legally or illegally. I abide the law and expect others to as well. When I read that there are more than 300,000 immigrants (assuming legal immigrants since it is a documented statistic), entering the U.S. annually, it concerns me.
Are you suggesting this because of the photo I posted? I admittedly posted it for effect. There are news reports where the folks headed to the border said the will be armed. Do you honestly think vigilantes are going to the border with fake guns, etc.?
I dont know what they're going to the border with. I also dont think these vigilantes are going to attack people coming over legally. I was under the impression they were manning the uncovered/non check point part of the border.
When I drive out of California to say Nevada and then I cross back into CA I have to go through a check point, despite being an American born citizen and I never left the country. I find this shocking as a US citizen. These check points are often backed up for miles and everyone has to wait until they are waved through.
If a state can do this to it's own citizens, which i'm not entirely sure is legal, why can't a country do the same to non citizens.
I'd wager to bet 99% of people dont care about those who are here legally and who acting/behaving accordingly. The real issue, no matter what the media trys to portray, is those who enter illegally, live here and demand equal rights. That's insane.
Can you imagine the outrage of 100,000 legal citizens from the midwest showed up in your city today and voted on your local issues?
Yet that's one of the rights we want to give illegal aliens?
