Good thing is if these illegals go make it in, it’s not like they’ll be living in West Linn or Lake O.  ;)

Perhaps not, unless you can afford live-in help.

Neglecting to include that they intend to simply observe and report.  The lie of omission.

No doubt trying to create the impression that they are going down there to execute illegals.

Since when do you need fire arms to observe and report? The military is there to observe and report. Vigilantes are there for what purpose? They weren't invited therefore they can't be a legal militia.

At the McAllen Texas and Reynosa Mexico bordern it is business as usual. Immigrants come and immigrants go...north, east and west on buses.

After being processed by the US border patrol, and undergoing the requisite security checks, the migrants are dropped off at the local bus station. The hope is that they will somehow find their way to relatives elsewhere in the US, and await a court hearing.

On a typical day, more than 100 asylum-seekers are released from McAllen-area holding facilities, clutching their belongings in clear plastic bags stamped with Department of Homeland Security logos, said Norma Pimentel, executive director of Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley.

Prime  I'm not saying you're wrong  but since you're playing devils advocate I will too.

Who says they're using real firearms? What if they're just for effect, like dark clothes, sunglasses, handcuffs, etc... All legal items to own and they help with the image they're trying to portray.

So you want the militia, of legal us citizens, to obey whatever laws you're citing but you're not concerned with the laws the immigrants are going to be breaking by coming across the border illegally? Where is the justice with that line of thinking?

Thanks

Dave, I never posted nor am I not concerned about Immigrants entering the U.S. either legally or illegally. I abide the law and expect others to as well. When I read that there are more than 300,000 immigrants (assuming legal immigrants since it is a documented statistic), entering the U.S. annually, it concerns me.

Are you suggesting this because of the photo I posted? I admittedly posted it for effect. There are news reports where the folks headed to the border said the will be armed. Do you honestly think vigilantes are going to the border with fake guns, etc.?

I dont know what they're going to the border with. I also dont think these vigilantes are going to attack people coming over legally. I was under the impression they were manning the uncovered/non check point part of the border.

When I drive out of California to say Nevada and then I cross back into CA I have to go through a check point, despite being an American born citizen and I never left the country. I find this shocking as a US citizen. These check points are often backed up for miles and everyone has to wait until they are waved through.

If a state can do this to it's own citizens, which i'm not entirely sure is legal, why can't a country do the same to non citizens.

I'd wager to bet 99% of people dont care about those who are here legally and who acting/behaving accordingly. The real issue, no matter what the media trys to portray, is those who enter illegally, live here and demand equal rights. That's insane.

Can you imagine the outrage of 100,000 legal citizens from the midwest showed up in your city today and voted on your local issues?

Yet that's one of the rights we want to give illegal aliens?

In case shit happens.  It's prudent in a situation like this to be prepared to defend yourself.  You don't know exactly who or what you are going to come across.

Never mind that.   What some liberal fairy thinks you "need", and what it's legal for you to have....are often very different things.

You are right, shit happens. It's advisable to be ready for anything, including self-defense. It is also advisable to obey the law. Vigilantes and non-sanctioned militia break the law when they show up unofficially and uninvited. In a situation like this, it is prudent to not go there in the first place.

This liberal fairy thinks one needs to not break laws.

So you agree that the caravan should return to their home countries and not force their way into the USA?

The problem is, what do you do when people refuse to obey (or enforce) the laws of this country?  Do we just shrug our shoulders and say oh well?

Also, I'm interested to know what laws these "vigilantes" are breaking.

It's really hard to take these people seriously.

DAVE, Those Cal/Nev check points you mentioned above are check points for fruits and vegetables and flora and fauna only.

Or am I mistaken?

I go through the I-15 checkpoint on my way from Vegas to LA frequently and have never been stopped  even when I have an apple in my lunch bag ... merely waved through.

And likewise for my 100% all American, Mexican friends.

And as far as foreigners entering the US illegally ... I am strictly against that .... and also totally anti sanctuary cities (San Francisco for example).

Will be inteesting to see how this problem is resolved.
