He’s quickly being forgotten.

Like most everyone, famous or not.

Plus, his legacy is flimsy compared to, say, The Beatles. Why? He didn’t write anything. Also a reason why his estate is limited in its ability to generate money.

Having said this, he made an impact and had “it”.

At one point he was the coolest guy on the planet. He disintegrated on prescription drugs. I wonder if you young guys realize how popular he was back in the day? He had a horrific contract with his manager who had zero love for Elvis and according to some sources when informed of his death he couldn't care less. He had to give him 50% of everything he made and some think it was a lot more.
