There is no replacement for displacement.  Fuck Japanese cars and fuck anything under 8 Cylinders!

It's 2019, Ford makes a V6 that produces 500 HP and GM produces a 350 HP four cylinder.  Contrary to what you believe, most people don't need over 300 hp to drive to work.

Honda and Toyota make wonderful vehicles.

Sorry I disagree. Weight/Power ratio of the turbocharged modern engines is far superior to naturally aspirated. And I think the tech behind it makes it more interesting aswell. There is for reason that turbocharged engines are prefered in modern motorsports.

Corvettes are great cars though. I like how they figured out how to make a good light stiff chassis on the cheap to make it affordable. The carbon monocoq Ferraris are just not affordable.

Who says you can't turbocharge a V-8?

nobody. But that's not from the manufacturer. One problem is, the transmission/clutch is not spec'd for the additional power.

You can turbocharge a V12 Ferrari or Lamboaswell and some people do.

Here's a Swedish guy turbocharging his Lambo. He's having problems with the clutch because of the Power. He was also one of the first with a 1500HP Supra, built all by himself.

I'm not talking about one or two models.  Every Ford model can be bought with a Turbo.  They were the first to do it on a mass scale.

Obviously Saab was in the forefront of Turbos, but they weren't a mass market brand.

At that time SAAB didn't have money to develop larger engines (V6 or V8) so they were forced to go for turbo charging I think. Which is excellent to keep weight down and low end torque up.
