Just watched the championship fight again this morning, this time I muted the volume.
I think that TJ lost his balance throughout the exchanges. Get hit to the back of the head and your cerebellum rattles, causing gait imbalance. I am also not quite sure of TJ being completely out during the last seconds of the fight.
It's really hard to call that one, but I think during championship fights of this magnitude, it's probably better to let it go until there is clearly one fighter that ceases to defend himself. The ref might have caught a glimpse of TJ with his eyes out, but it's hard to say. Unless you're Henry or the Ref, how can you truly tell what's going on? The camera only captures but so much.
Worth running it over, but I think the decision for it to be at either 125 vs 135, should certainly come down to Henry. He was gracious enough to fight TJ, a move which could have ended his division and resulted in him losing his first title defense (not a good way to go down in the history books). Since he overcame the odds, he deserves some say in who he fights and in what division.
TJ is clearly a winner. The guy can't stand losing, which is great. Unfortunately, this shit will eat away at him until he is able to get a rematch and avenge that loss. Much like the Cody fight, TJ will go crazy until he gets that rematch, especially when so much hangs in the balance.
