Much of the attention has gone to actresses Lori Laughlin and Felicity Huffman.
But this guy paid 400k in bribes plus faked a tennis record to get his kid into Georgetown.

Pathetic!

I know plenty of MD's , CPA's , lawyers, etc that started at a basic state college.
I guess bragging rights are worth risking jail time and spending big $$. :-\

Howard MD's and Lawyers require advanced degrees. CPA's do not.

Accountancy examinations are most comprehensive in academia. Most doctors and lawyers would be destroyed had they entered accounting. Fact.

Id imagine. As their expertise is not accounting.

How would an accountant fare on an Mcat or bar exam?

Will you let me harass Howard in peace?

This isn't about the kids, it's about the parents' bragging rights.

Loughlin's daughters couldn't have cared less.

Why are these individuals the only ones getting into trouble? Isn't the school responsible? Taking a bribe is much worse then offering one.

Why the fuck would anyone want to send their white child to such an anti-white establishment? Fuck that these Universities should all be closed or all anti-white, leftist professors arrested and put to work in labor camps. Only then do you consider these institutions.

I'd be interested to see how many blacks are getting in via affirmative action. Remember the one balck kid who got accepted to all the ivy league schools. He got those because of the color of his skin - not because he was that exceptional. His parents won't go to jail though because their kid was handed everything on a silver platter.

Yes these institutions should be dismantled and rebuilt from the ground up. Bunch of useless, leftist professors.

In some cases they fooled the school by saying the girls were rowing athletes to get in to USC.  When rowing (Crew?) started in the spring they just dropped out by claiming injury but were already in their 2nd semester and were paying so they weren't kicked out of school.

If it was not for Affirmative Action maybe these rich kids would have gotten in? Close the Universities, put their faculty into labor and sex slave camps. Start all over with schools that only allow in people with merit, regardless of race. But no affirmative action moving forward!

Howard MD's and Lawyers require advanced degrees. CPA's do not.

Most states went to a masters program for accounting degrees to sit for the CPA exam. Several decades ago

Bingo!

That's it exactly.
It's all  about parents bragging about how their kid attends "Awesome Academy" vs " What's -A- Matta U." ;)

My main point was , you can have a great career, regardless of your undergrad school.
Of course, you've got to have the basic ability and work hard.

My sis started at our State U and ended being an MD and med school prof at OSU.
My wife's nephew just finished dental school in Va and got his chemistry degree at UGA.
My own wife is a banking exec and did her BA and MBA at a good public state school ( UGA ).

Lots of my friends went to community colleges first then transferred to a more expensive 4 year college later. Same degree I got, half the cost. They were smarter than me, haha
