Very good singer, started with the 1st Edition in 67. had hits like Somethings Burning.. Just Dropped in to see what condition my condition was in. Ruby, don't take your love to town. Only wrote a handful of songs but his strength besides having a good voice was great song selection. In the late 70's and early 80's he was selling out stadiums. What a catalog indeed.
The Gambler album was amazing and 2 hidden gems are a couple slow heart wrenching ballads, "I wish that I could Hurt that Way Again" and "King of Oak Street". If you've never heard those before, you should give it a listen.
