So, just to get it out of the way, most of know that basic supps can be helpful, in a minor way.
They are promoted like BB drugs from way back in the early Weider/York days (the war).
Rheo Blair had people growing like weeds on his Protein, he also had Nilevar in it, and had the guys using Nilevar tabs.
Sups are a good addition to a diet, for those who either lack something, or cant eat as much as they'd like, but could drink a shake.
You can make them good, with a basic powder, some oilve oil added, some creatine and whatever else you want.
Some easy to digest calories and protein. I like my triple strength fish oil, my niacin for lipids and a couple of others.
The supplement ad's will never change (juiced up BB's saying they owe it all to XXX Protein company), but these days the kids have internet, learn about drugs from day one, and can order them.
Supps are still a huge seller (HUGE) most are BS (HMB, Laxogenin, etc) but the basics can still help a skinny kid gain. Eat until you cannot, then make a decent shake with quality calories, proteins, oils.
(Prohormone's dont count, those are drugs, many worked, then gains were lost).
