Guys, the relationship between the African American community and the police is one I really have to side with Black folks on. At the same time, believe me, I totally understand White folks. I'm sorry. Anyone with a decent amount of knowledge of American history has to take the knee on this one.

I am reminded of an episode of the television show All in the Family in which the Bunkers’ house gets robbed by two black guys. During the robbery, Meathead starts defending the robbers saying that they are victims of racism. The robbers ask him where he heard all this stuff. Meathead sheepishly responds “From my sociology professor.”

Contrary to what you’ve been told and what you’ve read, cops in these areas, most of whom are black, are not looking to oppress the black community. They want nothing to do with it. Police response in these areas is very slow. Cops are loathe to get involved as it’s a no-win situation.

Not that we need to take a knee on this asshole but... with all the shit the police have done to the Black community, that this is now happening should hardly be a surprise. In fact I am surprised it has taken this long.

You can check my posts from the early 2000's when police brutality wasn't even discussed on TV and me saying that the Black community was going to erupt in a wave of violence against the different police departments.

Mark my words, there will be a day when entire police precincts will be attacked. Not that I agree with it mind you.

You do understand where all of this comes from right? After the Emancipation Declaration, all slaves were free to go anywhere in the US, and everywhere they went. by the late 1880s, there was African American presence is all counties in the US except for one or two that were "fully sundown" (no Blacks allowed within city limits at any time"). With the influx of European immigration (and the racist bullshit habits they brought with them,) the social environment north of the Mason-Dixon line became bitterly hostile and soon enough entire Black families were ILLEGALLY and violently expelled from all the counties they were living in. Slowly but surely, with the active help of all the police departments in rural USA, the only safe place to go to, for African Americans, was the urban areas.

Well...I've been a police supervisor for 30 years, and I may be in that "different dimension" you speak about. In the past week alone I've handled 4 shootings, numerous armed robberies, and a mother high on "wet" chopping up her baby with a machete. Last night I cleaned a kids brains off the ceiling (after detectives had cleared the scene) so that his parents wouldn't have to see it. I haven't seen any mistreatment of any race by my very large city department. My different dimension is the reality I see every day with my own eyes...
