Remember there are a multiple of reasons why someone has an abortion. An abortion that occurs without intervention is known as a miscarriage or spontaneous abortion. When deliberate steps are taken to end a pregnancy, it is called an induced abortion, or less frequently "induced miscarriage".
There are times when carrying a baby full term and giving birth is certain death for the mother. Ask yourself this, if you were in this situation, as a husband, parent or her boyfriend, would you choose to save the baby's life over the life of it's mother?
There are far too many unwanted pregnancies, some of which result in an abortion, this is for sure. But, not all abortions are performed for this reason.
OF COURSE in an instance where the mother is going to die - but that is statistically VERY small. The fact is that almost all abortions are elective in nature and that is despicable.
