Wrapping knees for deadlift?
« on: October 26, 2019, 03:57:51 PM »
Here's one time Britain's hardest man Brian Cockerill deadlifting with knee wraps?
I've never seen this before.   Does wrapping the knees benefit deads?
By the way, Brian s new book is out in February and promises more awesome stories of street fights and underworld stuff.

Why are you asking if he’s wearing knee wraps? The pic clearly shows him wearing knee wraps.

Why he is, I don’t know.

I think it's pretty obvious why he is wearing knee wraps.

Why does anyone wear knee wraps?  For the extra rigidity at the joint.

Would it actually help your deadlifts like it does squats? Probably not, but it sure as fuck will help if your knees are unhappy with the pressure on them.

He might be someone who pulled from a slightly back position, which would make it more squat like.

He claimed a 600lb for twenty rep squat

a little bit. Not alot.

helps speed from the bottom part where your legs help drive the weight a bit.

Exactly.

More about protecting the knee joint and tendons.
