My wife and I both noticed the stores are packed with people. That seems worse to me than having a few people at work and keeping the stores open 24 hours to avoid a congestion of people. Am I missing something here? If they are trying to limit more than 10 people in groups what are they going to do at the grocery stores? Most stores have now reduced the hours that they are open. This will guarantee more people flocking to the stores when they are open. Seems moronic to me if the goal is containment and isolation.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Safeway and some other chain stores are open for seniors only. I actually fell for it. What a joke. The store was more crowded than usual an people were standing on top of each other in the checkout lines (so much for social distancing). I immediately left without buying anything. If I need something, I'll go late at night before they close. The store is usually empty by then.

Exactly.^

If people don't take containment seriously it won't work...

Supposedly, there is the discussion of limiting the amount of people allowed in the store at one time. A certain amount of customers will be allowed in, once those customers have shopped and have left the store, the next group will be allowed to enter.

And all ten of those customers will be piled in the paper products section fighting for their roll of toilet paper.

It’s a work in process. This is only good for Amazon, Kroger, Walmart, Target and other larger  retailers.

This “lockdown” is not a well thought out idea. It’s reactionary.

Construction is considered essential business. People are still flying in and out of California (unless something changed). So certain people are allowed to work. Non of it makes sense.

The lock down will only get more strict.

Miami is shutting down hotels and B&Bs Monday night.   Key West is kicking vacationers out this weekend.

It would not surprise me to see a martial law state soon with only delivery services operating.
