Coronavirus - Who else is in quarantine?

I'm more or less in quarantine. it sucks - but it is necessary.

Me too....more or less. You are right it does suck since I am perfectly fine, but I'm old so I'm complying with my son-in-law's request to stay home.

The government has shut down most of society by telling people an invisible microbe is out to get them. I guess that is how freedom disappears without a shot. Never mind that the sum total of all the other diseases that we have grown to accept take out millions of people a year. Man this is right out of a sci-fi movie. I'm sure there has been one about this already.

This feels like a fantasy sometimes.


Here in Serbia a military curfew started today 8pm-5am.

Seniors are required to stay home all day. But they don't.

I don't know what's going to happen.

Public transport will be canceled in a few days.

I fear a total curfew will come soon,because the streets are packed during the day.

People are losing their jobs. I run a small hotel and business is gone.


Mentally it is tough to handle.


And we have only 89 infected in a population of 7 million.

It will all be over in less than 4-6 weeks. Yes, some people will be sick and some will die (less than 1% when accurately tallied). But then the population will start to get restless and start acting up. Even in China with a dictatorial regime the government is getting nervous. Some freedoms will have to be restored quickly or the voluntary adherence to law will end.  And I don't care what government you live under- once that happens its the beginning of a revolution.

It won't get that far. The government starts to run out of money pretty quickly and needs people working. They can only print so much before it all collapses.

I ventured out today to pick up a couple of birthday cards, some bread and some butter. The bread racks were nearly empty as was the cooler where butter normally is kept. I went to three different stores before I found butter. For those who like fake butter, there was plenty of that. Maybe nobody likes it.
