Wouldn't it be ironic if Baron Trump chose to be a liberal as an adult. After all, his father was sometimes a Democrat before becoming a Republican. Actually, it seems Trump has difficulty making up his mind which political party he wants to be a member of.

Trump registered as a Republican in Manhattan in 1987 and since that time has changed his party affiliation five times. In 1999, Trump changed his party affiliation to the Independence Party of New York. In August 2001, Trump changed his party affiliation to Democratic. In September 2009, Trump changed his party affiliation back to the Republican Party. In December 2011, Trump changed to "no party affiliation" (independent). In April 2012, Trump again returned to the Republican Party.[3]

In a 2004 interview, Trump told CNN's Wolf Blitzer: "In many cases, I probably identify more as Democrat," explaining: "It just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicans. Of course currently he is singing a different tune.

Do you see many folks in the U.S. changing their party affiliation anytime in the near future? At no point in my life, have the people in this country seemed as polarized as they are now. The chasm is so great that many people have lost all perspective and thus they are willing to accept whatever their party does, right or wrong. The fact is that no party and no person representing a political party is perfect. Achievements and mistakes will be made on both sides. It is too bad so many people cannot see this.
