Gluttony
« on: March 29, 2020, 04:01:51 PM »

"But it is a defect to eat, like beasts, through the sole motive of sensual gratification, and without any reasonable object. " - Pope Innocent XI

"Esse oportet ut vivas; non vivere ut edas" - Cicero

Over 70 million adults in U.S. are obese (35 million men and 35 million women). 99 million are overweight (45 million women and 54 million men). NHANES 2016

"Diederik Gommers, chairman of the Dutch intensive care association, told television talk show Jinek on Friday evening that 66% to 80% of corona patients on intensive care wards that he had seen are overweight. The reason has not yet been investigated, but Gommers said it could be linked to the prevalence of diabetes among obese people, which would make them more vulnerable to the virus. In addition, the extra weight can also make breathing more difficult, he said. A specialist on the programme gave a similar picture. ‘Almost all the patients on an IC ward are overweight,’ Peter van der Voort of Groningen University’s teaching hospital said.

Yes. Fat people equals more cases of diabetes, hypertension and heart disease.

Also excess neck fat and gut fat makes it even more difficult to recover from respiratory issues (think snoring)

Less than 1% of deaths have been skinny people. All the elderly surviving this have be pretty slender. Saftey fat of peace  >:(

I think Africa will be fine, minus those already dealing with aids.

Indian middle classes will be hit hard.

Mexico which has been laughing at the US has a ticking time bomb on its hand.. That's where I expect the virus to explode.

Mama Afrika needs more Chinavirus infected truck drivers, to popularize this infection too.

Not if they are Catholic and attended Mass every Sunday and went to confession. It could be argued that they may spend some time in Purgatory as Gluttony could perhaps be considereed a sin in some cases.

Someone should ask Shizz - he is definitely a morbidly obese fck and I think he had a bad auto accident and died a few years back.

Fat folk can survive longer during the inevitable starvation of the End Times.

We can eat them too.  And they can't run away very fast.

The body is the temple, we shouldn't eat so much and become morbidly obese

Yep.  They are roasted low and slow to ensure the meat is tender...
