Only in Taiwan could you pose like this.In China you'd probably be sent to jail!
The Original Human Centipede
Taiwan seems a highly civilized, peaceful, hygienic, non-agressive and intelligent version of ChinaAll countries should recognize Taiwan as an independent nation, instead of letting themselves be infected and blackmailed by communist china imo
I would go so far as to say that Taiwan should be recognised as the legitimate government of China as it was till the 1970's. It's official name is still the Republic of China. The current regime on the mainland are criminals and usurpers. The CCP's official policy at the moment is that an invasion must be launched to forcibly take-over the territory. The communists cannot except the existence of Taiwan because it shows that a successful and prosperous, democratic and still traditional version of China can exist. And does.
How about Shanghai and Beijing?
The Republic of China ('Taiwan') represents the real China. The people there did not have their traditional culture, mentality and civilisation wiped out by communist peasants following a foreign Marxist-Leninist ideology. The communists literally tore down countless monuments and even changed the writing system so that people would be unable to read any information from before the communist regime took over.An ignorant peasant mentality was enforced on the entire population.

Undercurrents aside, they are literally a contrast between New/Modern and Old/Cultural. Shanghai has the most beautiful skyline I have ever seen. I have been all over the world, so I can judge. NYC can't touch it.Beijing is still an "old world" country mindset for most of the residents. They have modern amenities and upscale tourism comforts, but the old China thinking is still ingrained in almost all their citizens that reside in the area.
Yes - Shanghai has a beautiful skyline - when you can see it. About the worst air pollution I have ever experienced and I have seen a lot of cities globally too. When I first arrived there about 5 years ago I was taken back by the gorgeous Oriental Pearl tower and the water. The next day and for the remainder of the week I couldn't see anything. The air reeked of sulfur dioxide. With the advancements in the USA regarding emissions it's no comparison- China sucks.
