Yes.
You can see it by the continuing the false narrative that Trump called the virus a hoax, when every thinking adult knew he was referring to this being the latest Democrat attack hoax, like Russia, etc....not the virus itself.
He is too TDS fueled to realize it, or just an asshole.
Or likely, both.
Rational adults can separate the President's optisim and need to brag from the actions he's taking. In this case, while Trump gave optimistic viewpoints, his ACTIONS were based on the advice of Fauci and Birx. But the disingenuous morons on the left won't let that get in the way of soundbites like the idiotic youtube he posted.
He's on tape calling it a hoax
feel free to provide the Trumptard explaination on why he said "wasn't really what he said"
Don't forget to be specific
I'll even help you out by providing what Trump said and how he tried to spin his own words then next day when asked about it:
his spin is that when he called it "their latest hoax" that the "hoax" was how he had responded and not the virus itself
That's TOTAL BULLSHIT but of course you idiots are used to gobbling up his bullshit
The criticisms at the time were VALID just as they are now
How do I know Trump was suggesting the virus itself was a hoax
Very easy
1. he said it was no big deal, we have a few cases that would soon go to zero
2. he would said it would magically go away
3. he said they had it under control and it was no big deal
All those lead to me confirm that when he called it a hoax he was actually referring to the virus itself
When called it on the next day he tried to lie but of course his lie made no sense because the Dems response was to point out his failures and that was not a hoax either
It's the same old bullshit
Step 1: Trump says something stupid/false
Step 2. People ask him about what he said
Step 3: He insists he was joking or that people didn't understand what he said or took him out of context yet when he provides an explanation it's just as stupid and patently false as the stupid/false thing he said in the first place.
Trump, Feb. 28: Now the Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus, you know that right? Coronavirus, they’re politicizing it. We did one of the great jobs. You say, “How’s President Trump doing?” They go, “Oh, not good, not good.” They have no clue. They don’t have any clue. They can’t even count their votes in Iowa. They can’t even count. No, they can’t. They can’t count their votes.
One of my people came up to me and said, “Mr. President, they tried to beat you on Russia, Russia, Russia.” That didn’t work out too well. They couldn’t do it. They tried the impeachment hoax. That was on a perfect conversation. They tried anything. They tried it over and over. They’d been doing it since you got in. It’s all turning. They lost. It’s all turning. Think of it. Think of it. And this is their new hoax.
Reporter, Feb. 29: You were down in Charleston last night, using the word “hoax” when talking about Democrats. Somebody now is dead from this. Do you regret that kind of talk?
Trump: No, no, no. “Hoax” referring to the action that they take to try and pin this on somebody, because we’ve done such a good job. The hoax is on them, not — I’m not talking about what’s happening here; I’m talking what they’re doing. That’s the hoax. That’s just a continuation of the hoax, whether it’s the impeachment hoax or the “Russia, Russia, Russia” hoax. This is what I’m talking about. Certainly not referring to this. How could anybody refer to this? This is very serious stuff.
But the way they refer to it — because these people have done such an incredible job, and I don’t like it when they are criticizing these people. And that’s the hoax. That’s what I’m talking about.
