I do not see the connection. I know a couple liberals and i have yet to hear them say anything about communism or socialism or marxism (how many are there?) Mostly i just hear them say they dont like Republicans. Quite a few are gay. Almost all are wealthy. One has never driven a car nor held a drivers license. I dont hold it against him. His music collection at home rivals all of youtube i shit you not. But they are all decent people.
