The NYC I left nearly 30 year ago was much worse than today’s.  To have started a family there over the last 20 years (after Giuliani’s policies turned things completely around), only to see things descend into chaos and crime so quickly…that’s a failure of leadership.

I’m hoping De Blasio turns out to be a blessing in disguise. Things get so bad that people vote in another Republican Mayor.  There are two planning to run, Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa and Billionaire John Catsimatidis who says he’s willing to spend 100 million. I think they’re really working together as Cats is on the Guardian Angels board and owns the radio station where Curtis has a show.
