To be fair, most bodybuilders have never designed anything new because it isn't needed. A person can build all the muscle possible with the current equipment.
Vincenzo, you reposted that text 2-3 X in the last 5 years !.
One could say that about cars but we see new models and ideas every year. The gym industry is in a bad state at the moment so few are buying new equipment. It is always possible to improve on current offerings. There has been a proliferation of equipment since Nautilus arrived in the seventies.Bodybuilders contribute to designs by testing prototypes. Few come up with original ideas for new equipment.
The only real improvement on equipment is that a machine may look better or be more comfortable to sit in while exercising but the results aren't any different. Natural people training today don't look better than those training in the 1940's even though there is much more equipment.
If you built equipment you would have a different point of view. I can see many improvements over the years.
Why waste what little years have left working on a machine to train a muscle which already hundreds of Ways to train it? If I even make it to basils age I’d rather be slowly drinking myself to death in whatever working mans club is still open by then
in your experience , which is the greatest piece of gym equipment ever made , where weights could not replicate the same level of results . . . ?
