Koivunen was a Finnish soldier, assigned to a ski patrol on 20 April 1944, along with several other Finnish soldiers. Three days into their mission, on March 18th, the group was attacked and surrounded by Soviet forces, from which they managed to escape.[2] Koivunen became fatigued after skiing for a long distance, but could not stop. He was also the sole carrier of army-issued Pervitin, or methamphetamine, a stimulant used to remain awake while on duty.[3] Koivunen had trouble pulling out a single pill, so he emptied the entire bottle of thirty capsules into his hand and took them all.

He had a short burst of energy, but then entered into a state of delirium, and lost consciousness. Koivunen remembered waking up the following morning, separated from his patrol and having no supplies.[4] In the following days, he escaped Soviet forces once again, was injured by a land mine, and laid in a ditch for a week waiting for help.[4] After skiing more than 400 km (250 miles) he was found and admitted to a nearby hospital, where his heart rate was measured at 200 beats per minute, triple the average human heartbeat,[5] and weighing only 43 kg (94 pounds).[4] In the week Koivunen was gone, he subsisted only on pine buds and a single Siberian jay that he caught and ate raw. He ended up surviving and died peacefully at the age of 71.[4]

The Air Force has preferred provigil (modafinil) for their pilots.   On a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being a Diet Coke and 10 being Adderall/Vyvnase, it is about a 6 or 6.5 

Clean energy with no crash or sides (appetite loss, jitters, racing heart or libido death).  Fairly cheap as well.  I get a box of 10 strips, 10 tabs 200mg per strip (100 tabs total) for about $12USD at the airport in India.  It's about $3 for the same after you leave the airport.  Everything at the airport is higher, but still cheap by our standards.

It is 1100 baht (about $35USD) in Bangkok, about 3900 in Phuket (about $135USD) but only if you can find it.  It is hard to locate much like ambien, soma, etc.. but not impossible like Hydros, Vics, Xanax, etc.), but only $500 baht in Chiang Mia.  There was a peptide company that carried it on their "secret" list with some other narcs, but I wouldn't trust it from someplace like that.  Not sure if it is still on the private list or not.

Sometimes when i would take Provi, i'd forget to eat for 10-12 hours if i was busy, that's some serious focus.  Not out of hunger, but i'd be so focused on working, i wouldn't even think of food.

I take it (provigil) sparingly.  100 tabs will last me about 3 years.  When I do take it, I only take 1/4th of a tab at a time and never for more than two consecutive days.  I don't really need a lot of stimulants.  A Bang drink usually lasts me 3 days.
