Do you agree with this ranking?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_of_World_Liberty_Index

No.  Even with all its faults, the US should rank #1 for free speech, gun ownership, free enterprise, etc.

Europe? LOL...deny the holocausts and you go to prison.  I know the holocaust happened and don't agree with those who deny it, but I don't believe they should be thrown in prison for that.

Canada?  LOL...quote the Bible saying anything bad about homosexuality and you get arrested for hate speech.

“It is a worry for Europe that almost all new innovations in technology are coming from the US, and to some extent, China. Europe was traditionally a leader in the field, and now we are the buyers and users of innovation that originates from the other side of the Atlantic.

“Unless there is some real change in the entrepreneurial climate in Europe, we will continue to see the US building new trillion-dollar companies and attracting the best talent in the global technology race,” he continued.

“To compete, Europe needs to invest a great deal more in education and research to catch up and become leaders of technology transformation.”
  - Anders Borg, senior advisor at IPsoft and Sweden's former minister of finance

I am lucky that I have had (and will again after covid) the opportunity to get paid to travel the world to some of the most beautiful places around.  (and a few crappy ones).  I can tell you one thing for sure.  After two weeks in *insert destination here* you will realize that you could never live there full time if you are an American.  I don't care how nice or exotic you think a place is, after two weeks you are missing the USA.  And not just because of your home, family or friends.

And for a reference point, these trips I take are not just mediocre vacations, I do travel photography as a side gig for a company specializing in dream vacations and luxury travel.  So even with 5 star accommodations and everything catered to me, I would never be able to live in those places even if I could maintain service and amenities like that.  You won't realize how you become aware of the simple things like gyms, Publix/Kroger, sports, driving, theaters, living space, mail service, supplement stores,  etc.. you take for granted over here.
