Have you guys ever watched a movie or show that covers your area of expertise, and wanted to scream at the TV and say "THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS!!"
wes - an example in your case: do you recall that interview with Jay Cutler with the reporter asked him how many reps he had to do in order to win the Mr. Olympia contest?
Anyway, there is an episode of Unsolved Mysteries about the Zodiac Killer...and one theory presented is that he may be Theodore Kaczynski [the Unabomber].
One person interviewed said "Anagrams of the toys of mathematicians" [Kaczynski had a Ph.D in mathematics].
I was like: "#@((_)@#__#@((##***@!!!!"
"NO THEY'RE NOT - NOT NECESSARILY!!"
Then someone else came on, and very intelligently stated that Kaczynski dealt with a very specific [and dare I say - very BORING] field of mathematics. I don't even know exactly what his research was, because it went over my head - he was trying to find formulas to most efficiently travel certain pathways from point to point within a circle or something, lol.
I have no problem admitting that I spent a month studying his work, and never understood more than 40% of it.
But anyway, NO - creating an anagram does NOT necessarily make one a mathematician.
Lastly...I would have never thought this was real...for this to take over 50 years to solve, with basically every top mathematician and others working on it...that boggles the mind.
