I live around the area of San Diego and San Diego county.

Few hospitals have burn centers, even the newer one in the U.S.  San Diego has a burn center, there is a large one at the U.S. naval hospital  also. Which have been treating the military and war wounded for decades.  TJ, Mexico has hospitals, but don't believe a burn center. Plus the Mexican hospitals are pretty well backed up most of the time as a normal thing. But if you have the money to pay for treatment, odds are you can get hospital/medical care.

On another  related subject... that  CPU and hospitals beds shortage in California, due  to covid-19, is the direct results of people coming across the Mexico border, legally or illegally, for treatment. The local hospitals are being overwhelmed by thousands of border crossing non citizen people these last 6 months.  U.S. citizens are being forced to wait for treatment or go elsewhere, where ever that may be. There is just not room for them. All pretty much based on a first come, forst bases.

Some even question if there really is a serious CPU and hospital bed shortage after all, in California.  Some well connected  medical personal will tell you no. Some say it's a MSM hype for whatever reason.

What about those who can't pay for medical care in TJ?  Do they sneak into the US?

Humble Narcissist...you may want to re-read (or not) the above post.

Mexico has a national health system, a form of socialized medicine. This is government run. Or a private health system, privately run.  Generally speaking, no one is denied health care. But their health system can be ineffective to handle citizens more serious medical needs (actually a government run mess)

Mexican border hospitals can not handle this current covid-19 outbreak so people jump the border and into the U.S. health centers. They can't be denied, illegal or not. U.S. citizens must wait their turn for ICU and hospital beds..

Taking advantage of America's compassion to help, of course.

And yet so many Americans want socialized care.
