It's sad. If they stood there naked there wouldn't anything convincing about it. All the surgery in the world won't sculpt convincing genitalia. They're going to be butchered up freakshows for the rest of their lives. That'd be a harsh reality to reconcile with "You're really, actually a _____ now." Ya except that you're quite clearly not and you're going to be so, so alone. Not good.
