Check out the women. Many of them, even The Ms. Olympias, couldn't even win a figure show these days. Some of them would get murdered in a BIKINI show.

It's cool for women to lift weights today.  Back then most women were terrified to even touch pink dumbbells.

They don’t want to get to big. Once you start with weights you get bulky muscles!

They could have just looked around the gym and seen guys slaving away for hours only to look like skinny twinks.

Indeed. The racks at my gym are CONSTANTLY hogged by the ladies. THey're deadlifting and squatting like no tomorrow, especially since they have those vinyl/rubber-coated plates that are the same circumference and diameter as the 45s but different thicknesses.

But, they aren't pink. ;D . The 10s are black; 25s are green; 35s are yellow; and 45s are light blue.

I took "meat" to mean beef, since he specifically spells out fish and chicken during the video.

And he's right, for the most part. I have 93% lean ground beef that's over 40% of its calories from fat. One serving is 170 calories with 8 grams of fat (72 calories).

So, regular ground beef (75% lean) is at least 60% fat, easily.  It's similar with various cuts of beef.

Thank you for the response

Forgive my ignorance of the US labelling system, but what does the other 7% (of the 93%) refer to then?  (If not fat by weight or calories)

I've noted the irony of this before - some of the fitness girls today are waaaay beyond the muscularity that people used to say was too much...

And now we're getting to the point where some female BB's nowadays are shaving their heads due to hair loss (smh)

Rachel McLish (in her prime) would be hard-pressed to take home the Bikini Olympia today.

You're right about the female bodybuilders. When the last time you had a Ms. Olympia on a cover (notwithstanding the status of magazines in recent years)? Lenda Murray, 25 years ago, is the last one I remember.

But, when you make a ro-beast like Iris Kyle champion for TEN YEARS (sounding like Dr. Claw on helium), what do you expect to happen?

I believe it is by weight. It's certainly not by calories. I stood each roll of ground beef on its end. The 73% one is taller than the 93% one.

But, when I fry up the latter, there's almost no grease, just water. Plenty of grease from the former, however.

No. I don't need to do so at this point. But, I learned how to do that, when I worked at Wendy's during my college years. It's how the meat is prepped to make chili.
