Arnold‘s physique was one of a kind the dimensions his stand out bodyparts were just incredible. And his legs, his fricking quads muscles while not thick the separation started at his hip and groove deep good shape to them. They didn’t need to be outrageously large.

I have a mate that does 3d animation for Lucas/Jackson/Disney etc - he told me that to this day when animators are looking to implement a strong bodybuilding persona that Arnold's physique/sillhoute/build are the go to

When I was a kid Rolf Harris's cartoon club did a section on comic book art and the artists at dc or marvel can't remember which said they also used arnolds physique as a template for their muscular characters, I remember them mentioning the huge calves with the tiny ankle. Sure enough if you watch pumping iron in the scene where he's running out of the sea, you can see them silhouetted and the comic characters calves look identical
