You could be right. One would hope she wasn't stupid enough to act indignant if that were the case. If it was stolen, it seems unlikely they would have given it back to her. If a clerk even suspects fraudulent use of a credit card they are advised to refuse the transaction. With folks acting all crazy these days, being a clerk who is put in that position presents a real treat to their personal safety.

Ohio    In general, BiRs aren't accepted as Blk women, esp if they have a white mother, which is probably 9.9/10 in a place like Ohio/Lowa, etc.  Therefore, she would address the women who clearly represent her mother.  You should be happy she ignored the full Blk woman.  Erasure at its' finest and you are too caught up in your white misery to see it.  Take it from a BiR.

Why direct this at me? I don't live in Portland. I have no say so in how Portland authorities deal with people who break the law. To the best of my knowledge, there have been no riots or rampant vandalism in the city were I live. Perhaps this has something to do with the fact that we have a relatively large police force for a town of our size. As I've previously mentioned, we don't have homeless people camping out here. If someone sets up shop to panhandle, the police manage to get them to move along within a really short period of time.

Tony Reeves of their police certifications for their roles in the 2017 wrongful arrest of Michael Fesser of Portland. These two fellows screwed up and now they are gone. Even the police are expected to abide by the law here.
