Did he ask you if you knew Brian Hankins?

Wes probably walked up to Jay while Jay was in a moment of prayer. Jay had heard of a MMA champion that was transitioning into a Bodybuilding phenom. This “monster” could hold his breath for 4 minutes and could do 7 pull-ups. Add to that, a 157 point IQ and was wider than a doorway. Jay was praying for mercy.

To be fair ir would likely be Jay who asked Wes if he know Brian....

That was the first and only thing he asked me.   :D

I actually believe his calorie numbers reported there (1500-5000), as opposed to the usual nonsense these guys spit out.

I'm glad you mentioned that. I read that interview years ago, and was astounded at how Jay ate ten meals a day. Now looking back, I see he only ate 1,500 to 5,000 calories a day. So his first "meal" of oatmeal and egg whites would have ultimately only been a few hundred calories worth, most likely.

Suddenly, that is much more realistic.

Drinking over 10L water daily though...that's a lot of going to the bathroom. I just decided to drink 500mL every two waking hours, and I can't imagine drinking triple that.

i remember him saying he woke up while sleeping to drink protein shakes throughout the night

that's real dedication, though i would think many people wouldn't be able to sleep after drinking it

I remember that too, Earl!

Talk about dedication.

I'd say with confidence that I would have the energy to join Jay at the gym, and do his workouts - adjusted for weight, of course - but would find it very hard to eat so much and pin so much juice. And even drink so much water.

I've been trying a new system of drinking 500mL of water starting upon waking, and every two hours thereafter. It's only been a few days and has been going ok...but getting up in the middle of the night is not something I want to do, so I may cut that water off a few hours before bed.

Credit to Jay - he is one of the most dedicated bodybuilders I've ever read about.

Dorian trained about 3-4 hours a week
They train twice a day because they want to be seen in the gym
